Hey, my week was a bit too filled with meetings (new classroom, new roommate), and that kinda ate at the page.
Luckily, Tuesday I’ll have my afternoon, and I’ll render and post it then! Of course, next week, new page 🙂 for now, please enjoy this more raw version!

I’m curious, why do you think I’d rather print this version?
Speaking only for myself, the raw piece had a “even the gods aren’t sure about this” feel to it. When I first read it, my initial reaction was “Bold choice, this will definitely cause reactions”.
Then I read the underpost and thought, “Ah, well, that’s mildly disappointing”.
This page is good too, but it’s not eliciting the same visceral reaction from me (possibly because I’ve already seen a version of it prior).
Very interesting, thank you! I do use this type of raw (or absent) rendering for some panels, for stylistic , narrative and time-saving reasons. But it’s true that the raw thing appeals to me, it’s why I exeprimented with it in Wanderer, plus I really love “The Man Who Shot Lucky Luke”.
It’s noted. I think I see exactly where in the story I could use this! I’ll have my mind work on it.
Why, why…why? Hmm, because. It works, purely works to convey everything the cartman is feeling in the air. The sheer, stark rawness of it all brings out the devastation around the sword and the sword itself. I’ll shut up, sounding like some snotty art critic with zero clues.
